Yesterday marked the 12 year that Jay and I have been married. I guess we’ve been together long enough now that we look on this day with love and accomplishment, but we don’t feel the need to *do* too much about it. We arranged for Jay’s mom to come over and stay with Eli so that we could go to dinner. However Eli’s energy started to go south, and for the first time, he said “My ear hurts.” So, instead of going down into Atlanta (I got it into my head that I wanted Cheesecake Factory), we simply went to a nearby restaurant and had a nice dinner. Followed by our weekly shopping.
I did score a new pair of headphones (for my drums) and the New Moon Soundtrack. AWESOME!
I love Jay to pieces, and was reminded of that even more yesterday. 12 years. Wow!
PS – Eli does have an ear infection as confirmed by our wonderful PA Candace. As I spoke to Jay I could hear Eli just bouncing off the insides of the car. It seems he’s already recovering.
